Our History!

The story of Peña Madridista Atlanta began in 2013, when a Madrileño named Javier De Jesus set out to connect with fellow Madridistas in Atlanta. His goal was simple: to gather fans to watch Real Madrid matches together and, ultimately, to establish an official supporters club. Around the same time, Colombian Madridista Majin Hemer Sierra was bringing together another group of fans in the city who shared a similar vision.

By chance, they discovered each other on Twitter and decided to join forces, uniting their groups to create a larger, stronger Real Madrid supporters community in Atlanta.

In August of that year, they held their first official meeting at the Olde Blind Dog Irish Pub in Brookhaven. During this historic gathering, they laid the foundation for the new supporters club by signing founding documents and bylaws, appointing board members, and establishing a permanent meeting place. Andrés López, Julio Moreno, and Thomas A. Baker were also present and are recognized as founding members of the Peña.

From its inception, Peña Madridista Atlanta was officially registered as a nonprofit organization under the name Madridistas Atlanta Inc., both in the state of Georgia and under U.S. federal law.

Today, members and fellow Madridistas regularly gather at the Peña’s official home, Hudson Grille – Sandy Springs, in metro Atlanta to watch every Real Madrid match. Since its founding, Peña Madridista Atlanta’s mission has been to unite Madridistas across Atlanta and the surrounding metropolitan area, strengthening and celebrating our legendary club together.
